Donor Resources

There are three ways to support us: Donations. Partnerships. Sponsorships.
Donors helping the programs at One Cool Earth grow in the community

Be a Donor.

Every child deserves a place to grow. By giving as little as $25, you can help students in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County grow into healthy, happy, smart youth.

If you cover the cost of a school year through your donation, we'll make you a sponsor!

Individuals and businesses that are partnering with One Cool Earth

Be a Partner.

One Cool Earth works with companies, school districts, nonprofits, governments, and other organizations to give children a place to grow. Our partners provide more than money. They create school garden programs with their ideas, volunteer power, and valuable in-kind support.

If you're a school or a childcare provider, we have three different ways you can partner with us, which we'll list down below.

The Earth Genius Program

We'll recruit, hire, train and manage a passionate, qualified Garden Educator Manager (GEM) who will work at your school or childcare facility one day each week throughout the school year. The GEM will improve and maintain the school garden and integrate with your school's unique goals, teaching lessons related to nutrition, science and environmental stewardship.
Teacher Trainings

You'll receive teacher training's to build a culture of garden education in your school and district. High quality, focused training like ours has been shown to improve teacher confidence and skill and contribute directly to student achievement in science, language art, and nutrition. Through a fun, hands-on training that takes place in an actual school garden, you'll learn how to utilize the garden as a platform for teaching science, as well as supporting student health and wellness.
Family Cooking Night

Our goal of the family cooking nights is to encourage families to adopt cooking and eating together, even if one night out of the week. Cooking at home equips children with the skills to cook for themselves as adults and empowers them to take into consideration their portions and nutritional content of meals. It also provides time for families to hang out together and imparts psychological and health benefits! Family cooking nights are our way of promoting healthy lifestyles outside of school walls.
The sponsors that make everything at One Cool Earth possible

Be a Sponsor.

Every day, the team at One Cool Earth sees school gardens change lives: creating healthy eating habits at a young age, increasing academic success, and making kids happier from time spent outdoors. Thanks to the support of community members like you and our partnership with local school districts, we make garden-based education a reality in 15 schools throughout the county, reaching over 6000 students each year. The parents, families, students, and we at One Cool Earth thank you—we couldn’t do it without you!
