Volunteer Positions
Garden Educator AssistantWork with students and assist a One Cool Earth Garden Education Manager (GEM) to prepare and teach lessons to students in school gardens. Activities may also include planting, weeding, harvesting, watering, or general garden maintenance tasks. This opportunity can be used for internship credit and assistants are selected after an application process.
Time Commitment: 3 to 5 hours, weekly on the weekdays, on campus |
Garden Workday VolunteerAttend scheduled workdays and help out the One Cool Earth team. Tasks including planting, weeding, building, digging and moving soil/compost, and more. Check the volunteer portal for upcoming events.
Time Commitment: 2 to 4 hours per workday, on the weekdays |
Family Cooking Night Volunteer |
Waste Audit Volunteer |
Work with the Family Cooking Night Lead Organizer to encourage families to adopt cooking and eating together.
Time commitment: 4 hours per event on weeknights |
Assist a One Cool Earth Garden Educator Manager (GEM) to educate students at school-wide waste audits. These audits include having students sort, track and measure all of the waste produced on campus in a 24-hour period.
Time Commitment: 3 to 8 hours per audit on the weekdays |
